JISEC Policy on Certification Application and Evaluation in General

Hardcopy Devices Evaluation and Certification

The following is JISEC's policy regarding the evaluation and certification of Hardcopy devices.

Policy for applying Technical Decisions for the PP compliant products

JISEC's policy on the application of Technical Decisions (TDs) regarding PP is as follows.

1.Application of TD of Hardcopy Devices

It is found in the above “Hardcopy Devices Evaluation and Certification” section. Please refer to the link in the relevant section.

2.Application of TD to cPP compliant products

Application of TD

In principle, JISEC applies all TDs issued by the iTC (international Technical Community), which formulated the cPP.
All TDs issued at the time of application for certification are applicable.
However, this does not apply if any defects are found in the contents of the TD during the evaluation and certification process.

Inclusion of TD in Security Target and Evaluation Technical Report

The applicant (developer) should provide the identification (ID and title) of any applicable TDs for the cPP (including TDs for supporting documents) in addition to the identification of the cPP, in the Conformance Claim section of the Security Target.
Furthermore, the evaluator should provide the identification (ID and title, applicable/not-applicable) of all TDs, including TDs that were not applied, in addition to the identification of the cPP and supporting documents, in the Evaluation Technical Report. For TDs that were not applied, please provide the reasons. (e.g., not covered by the evaluation due to selection-based SFRs.)
Make sure to check the Guideline for HCDcPP described in the above "Hardcopy Devices Evaluation and Certification."
