Release Date:May 22, 2026

In May 2026, the delegation of trainees in the 9th Core Human Resource Development Program visited France and the United Kingdom with the aim of enhancing their understanding of advanced cybersecurity initiatives in Europe and building networks with leading experts at top institutions.

In France, the delegation visited Institut Mines-Télécom and IRT SystemX, both of which are engaged in cutting-edge research and technological development in cybersecurity. During these visits, the trainees learned about collaborative research efforts between industry and academia, as well as the distinctive features of Europe’s cybersecurity strategies, gaining valuable practical insights.

In the United Kingdom, the trainees visited Imperial College London, where they attended lectures and toured facilities, including sessions introducing the initiatives of the Research Institute in Trustworthy Industrial Control Systems (RITICS)—an industry–academia–government collaborative initiative coordinated by the Institute for Security Science and Technology (ISST).
In addition, the delegation visited Plexal, an innovation hub that promotes startup support and collaboration among organizations in the cybersecurity sector.

Through these visits, the trainees enhanced their understanding of the latest trends and challenges in cybersecurity in Europe, as well as their impact on society and industry. Furthermore, lectures and demonstrations at each institution provided valuable opportunities to experience a wide range of advanced technologies currently being developed and deployed, making this a highly meaningful learning experience for all trainees.
