“JP-US-EU Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity Week for the Indo-Pacific Region” was held

The Industrial Cyber Security Center of Excellence (ICSCoE) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), in collaboration with the government of the United States(*1) as well as the European Commission(*2), hosted JP-US-EU Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity Week for the Indo-Pacific Region(*3), which was held online from October 25 to 29, 2021.

This annual ICS cybersecurity event has been conducted since 2018 with the aim of enhancing the capacity to ensure cybersecurity for the region as a whole and reinforcing collaboration with respective countries.

  • In the hands-on exercise, the simulated plant was tampered with remotely.

The ICSCoE provided a hands-on training for 40 participants invited from the Indo-Pacific region, and workshops regarding risk assessment and human resource development with Idaho National Laboratory (INL).
Trainees and graduates of the Core Human Resource Development Program also participated to share their knowledge.
