MITOU programs for the next generation IT innovation leaders

The MITOU Program is an endeavor to discover hidden (“mitou” in Japanese),young IT talents and to draw out their potential. We bring them together for friendly rivalry and have them work with project managers who provide guidance to improve their skills and ideas through creative projects. This program has generated numerous outcomes of revolutionary new products, solutions and business ideas, built upon Big Data, AI and robotics.
Eligibility: IT talents under 25 years of age; Duration: approx. 9 months

Inaugurated in 2017, the MITOU Advanced Program is for promoting and supporting IT entrepreneurship in Japan. Experts from academic, technology and business communities work with aspiring entrepreneurs to help them launch new IT businesses, providing guidance and advice on how to design new products and services, as well as on how to improve prototypes.
Eligibility: IT talents of all ages; Duration: approx. 7 months

Launched in May 2018, the MITOU Target Program aims to develop IT professionals with highly specialized skills and expertise in pioneering technology and applications. The program allows participants to choose themes from among new technologies that are coming under the spotlight in research and development across the globe, or from fields requiring a high degree of specialization such as mathematics. They work on development projects along the themes, and are nurtured into transformational IT professionals capable of driving future innovations. Eligibility: IT talents of all ages; Duration: max. 18 months
