PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Description of TOE
The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is the firmware for the mobile FeliCa IC chip which is employed by IT equipments such as mobile phones and contactless smart card reader/writers.
The TOE is embedded in the ROM of the mobile FeilCa IC chips, and is composed of three different functions; 1) "the contactless IC card function" - accessing memory via the wireless interface; 2) "the contact IC card function" - accessing memory via the wired interface; 3) "the reader/writer function" - accessing to another contactless IC card. Several security features included in these functions deliver the means of secure data management.
TOE security functions
The TOE includes security functions such as "authentication", "access control", "encrypted communication" and "data protection". These functions avoid wiretapping, falsification, information usage without right permission, data corruption due to power loss and abnormal state due to hardware trouble, and ensure data integrity, correct operations and confidentiality.
