Between 1991 and 1992 he took courses of mathematics and cryptology and he was sent to work at National Cryptologic Center. Here, he worked as cryptology expert between 1992 and 1998.
In 1998 he began to work as Information Technology Security expert until 2002 that he was appointed as the Head of Information Technology Security Policy Department. Since 2004 he is the Deputy Director of National Cryptologic Center.
From these jobs, he has attended several international working groups and he has took part, as teacher, in the courses about cryptology and information technology security that the National Cryptologic Center gives to civil service people.
He has, also, several certificates as information technology security expert, including CISA Information Systems Auditor Certificate by ISACA.
Currently, he is the spanish representative at EU and NATO Infosec Committees and his main duties now are about to develop the National Information Technology Security Evaluation and Certification Scheme and to issue policy and guidelines related to Information Technology Security for the civil service.
