PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Description of TOE

This TOE is an optional software of data security for the Multi Function Printer ( MFP ) RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION offers.
The software encrypts image data, including temporary image data, that are handled in Printer Function or Copy Function of the MFP when the image data are written into a Hard Disc Drive ( HDD ) in the MFP, decrypts the image data when they are read from the HDD, and overwrites random data not to reproduce the image data when the image data are deleted from the HDD.

 

TOE security functionality

TOE provides the following security functions.

- Encrypt and decrypt confidential information in HDD
- Overwrite to erase the residual data
- Overwrite to erase the data all at once
