PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Description of PP
This PP provides the security requirements for the IC used as the public transportation IC card in Japan. The TOE that conforms to this PP is the public transportation IC card. The TOE consists of the IC with a contactless interface (with optional contact interface) and a smartcard embedded software.
PP security functionality
This PP requires the following security functionalities to the TOE.
- (1) Physical attacks, side channel attacks and perturbation are known as attacks against IC card. The PP requires the tamper-resistant functionalities that protect IC chip from exploitation of the assets.
- (2) The PP requires protection of the confidentiality and integrity of the assets stored in the TOE by the mutual authentication function and the access control function depending on the service.
- (3) The TOE communicates with the external entity via contactless interface (via optional contact interface). The PP requires protection against the eavesdropping and altering by establishing the secure channel.
