The Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA) and the
Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan (TAO) jointly promote cryptography evaluation activities. Following CRYPTREC's Open Call for Cryptographic Techniques, the CRYPTREC Cryptographic Submissions Briefing will be held in conjunction with the cryptographic technique evaluations
on Oct. 9 (Tue.) and 10 (Wed.), 2001, which will kick off this fiscal
year's cryptographic technique evaluations. During the briefing, candidates
submitting cryptographic techniques will provide technical explanations
of their proposals. Details of the briefing appear below.
