Nigel Jones

CESG

Nigel Jones is currently the Head of Assurance Services for CESG, the UK National Technical Authority for Information Assurance, and is Executive of the UK's Common Criteria scheme. He is keen to focus on the benefits of Common Criteria in terms of standards and methodology, and in raising the competency of vendors in the provision of IT security services.

Nigel has worked in a variety of technical posts through out his career within the IT environment, initially in hardware and software design and development, and latterly in technical programme management. Prior to his current post, he set up and managed a major technical and business change programme for the provision of IT infrastructure an d processing services for a government agency. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the IEE.
