IT SMEs - enterprises that create IT systems - are shifting from simple subcontracting work to higher added-value work, so they require the nurturing of outstanding IT human resources. In recent years, general SMEs - enterprises that use IT systems - are rapidly computerizing, but are still lagging behind large enterprises. Many enterprises cannot introduce the ideal system for their business, or have installed an expensive system but cannot use it, because they have few staff with sufficient IT knowledge. In some cases, the enterprises had issues with security, the most important issue. In light of this situation, IPA continues its support of SMEs and IT SMEs.
