Our IT-based society has developed through the efforts of the talented workforce that supports it. Demand for even higher quality human resources in recent years is growing due to economic globalization and the rapid growth of developing nations. However, a gap exists between the IT curriculum taught in schools and the skill level (level of skill) corporations require, for finding solutions therefore this has becomes high-profi le issue.

 IPA has held the Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) and the Skill Standards for many years, setting the standard for knowledge and skill in the IT field across the whole industry. While the problem of workforce development is being resolved through collaboration between industry and academic institutions, efforts are also concentrating on the discovery and cultivation of talented people to lead the IT fi eld into the future. IPA has been given the important mission of supporting the development of human resources in the IT field from an overall perspective and providing HR support for tomorrow’s IT businesses.
