Cultivating excellent human resources to strengthen international competitiveness through IT is an important social issue, so the industry and Academic need to collaborate and share a vision for nurturing IT human resources for the future. Working with the government, IPA promotes the development of practical IT education through industry and academic collaboration in high schools and other educational institutions.
Recent surveys revealed a gap between academic curriculum and corporate expectations on education. Practical IT education, which is useful on the job, in universities, vocational colleges, and other educational institutions is essential for promptly nurturing IT human resources.
For this reason, IPA is investigating ways for industry and Academic to work together in cultivating IT human resources. We are also making efforts that will produce earlier results towards academic information-related faculties and disciplines, such as providing a practical curriculum created in collaboration with corporations.

IPA collects survey results on IT human resource trends, analyzes the topics and themes by fiscal year, and publishes the results as the White Paper on IT professionals. We also publish practical IT educational examples and curricula in collaboration with industry and Academic on the IT Human Resource Cultivation iPedia, an informational website.
